The College Board CLEP

Earn credit for what you already know! Save time and money! Fulfill a graduation requirement! Advance to higher-level classes!

What is CLEP?
The College-Level Examination Program (CLEP) is a series of computerized examinations in introductory college subjects that allow individuals to earn college credit for what they already know about the subject regardless of how that knowledge is acquired. Most CLEP exams are 90 minutes long and are administered on computer. Students receive instant score reports following completion of the exam with the exception of the composition exams. Mercer County Community College awards credit for successful scores on CLEP exams.

Testing Times

Subject Standardized Tests to Choose From
You may take these exams based upon what you have learned from your job, your reading, your independent study or special interests you have pursued. There are no prerequisites for taking the DSSTs. You can choose from test titles in the areas of Social Science, Business, Mathematics, Applied Technology, Humanities, and Physical Science. All tests are Internet-based with the exception of the Public Speaking exam. Unfortunately, we are no longer able to administer the Public Speaking exam.
