No person in the United States shall, on the basis of sex, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any education program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance.

The College conducts annual training provided through ATIXA covering the substance of the law and Title IX regulations, requirements under the law and Title IX regulation, development and implementation of policies and procedures, identifying and responding to situations under Title IX, and conducting investigations, hearings, and appeals.

The Title IX Coordinator oversees all complaints of sex discrimination and identifying and addressing any patterns or systemic problems that arise during the review of such complaints. The Title IX Coordinator is the central repository of Title IX knowledge on the campus, and is responsible for the design and implementation of education around Title IX for Mercer County Community College.
