The Liberal Arts Division is comprised of courses in a variety of subject areas, including English composition and literature, humanities, world languages, social sciences such as history, psychology, sociology, philosophy, the fine arts, visual arts, and communication. In addition to the variety of course work available in the Liberal Arts division, there are multiple degree options to choose from. Most students choose a traditional, interdisciplinary degree in Liberal Arts to prepare for transfer to a four-year institution and further specialization. This degree option provides the foundation necessary to continue studies in a variety of majors beyond Mercer. Other degree options include photography, theater, communication; new media, and television production; just to name a few.
