A creative arrangement between the two colleges allows Mercer students to live on the campus of TCNJ while taking classes at MCCC, with opportunities to engage in residential communities, dining, student events and organizations, fitness facilities, the library and more!

How to Apply for TCNJ Campus Housing

  1. Complete the MCCC Student Housing Application in Slate and pay the $600 deposit.
  2. Applicants will receive an email to their MCCC email address with instructions on accessing the MyHousing Portal to finish the application.
  3. Applicants must be matriculated MCCC students that are in good conduct standing. Status will be verified with MCCC prior to the Housing Application being sent.
  4. Applicants will receive an email from TCNJ Housing with instructions for completing the application.
  5. Applicants must fully complete the TCNJ health requirements prior to being able to move onto campus.
  6. Applications must be fully completed and contract signed by August 15 for priority consideration. After that, late applicants will be considered only if space is available.

  • Reduced Room and Board
  • A designated Community Advisor who can help you navigate campus and connect to community.
  • Future Room and Board discounts for students who decide to transfer to TCNJ after completion of their associate’s degree.
  • For students eligible for financial aid, the MCCC financial aid office will recalculate the cost of MCCC attendance to take into consideration the TCNJ Room and Board costs. This will increase students’ eligibility for financial assistance and support access to a college residential experience that enhances their overall educational experience.
  • Mercer students may also sign up here for a payment plan for their TCNJ housing.

  • Access to campus resources, including:
    • All of our dining facilities, whether it’s our award-winning main dining atrium, a coffee at one of our campus cafes, or our late-night dining location where mozzarella sticks and chicken tendies rule. And your meal plan is included, so there’s no need to scramble and cook a meal after a long day of classes and studying.
    • Use of our campus library, which includes a cafe and quiet study rooms.
    • Attend athletic events. We have 18 varsity teams. The College of New Jersey has a proud history that includes 39 NCAA Division III National Championships. That number is the third most NCAA National Championships in Division III and ranks 13th across all three Divisions.
    • Use the TCNJ fitness center and recreational spaces, including sand volleyball court, outdoor and indoor basketball courts, tennis courts, and game room.
    • Participate in intramurals or become a member of one (or some) of our 200+ student organizations.

Cost Breakdown

  • Double Occupancy Room, Apartment Meal Plan, TCNJ ID: $8500 per year
  • Double Occupancy Room, Apartment Meal Plan, TCNJ ID: $4250 per semester

Mercer Students are required to have a meal plan. While the costs above include the apartments meal plan, students may choose to upgrade to any of the Residential Meal Plans for an additional cost, if desired.
