Mercer County Artists Exhibition 2022

a juried exhibition open to visual artists ages 18 or older who live, work, or attend school in Mercer County, NJ

Eligibility

Two (2) original works in any media, except photography, may be entered. A 3rd piece may be entered for an additional fee.

  • 2-Dimensional works may not exceed 50 inches in any direction. Work should be framed as needed and must include a securely attached wire for hanging.
  • 3-Dimensional works (sculpture, ceramics, glass, etc.) may not exceed 60 inches in any direction or 75 pounds in weight.
  • Works must have been executed in the two years since October 2020. Works that have previously been exhibited at the MCCC Gallery are not eligible.

About the juror Jonathan Conner

Jonathan Conner (LANK) is an artist, designer and educator from Trenton, New Jersey. A graduate of the Pacific Northwest College of Art in Portland, Oregon, Jon is the Public Projects Manager for Artworks Trenton focusing on community-based art installations and murals. Jon is currently studying the intersection of public art and social justice/equity as a graduate student in anthropology at Monmouth University. He is a founding member of the city beautification non-profit S.A.G.E. Coalition and has been working with Artworks Trenton on public art projects and community events since 2008.

Awards and Terms of Sale

Awards include the Mercer County Cultural and Heritage Commission Purchase Award, winners of which become part of the County’s permanent art collection. The Gallery at MCCC retains a 25% commission on works sold. Work does not need to be for sale.

Other Terms of Participation

Entries are insured from the time of delivery until the official pick up dates. The College assumes no responsibility for works left after the pick-up dates listed in this prospectus. Works remaining after the pick-up periods will be disposed of at the discretion of The Gallery. The College reserves the right to reproduce any entry for publicity purposes. Submission of entries constitutes the artist’s acceptance of these terms.
