IMPORTANT UPDATE: Annual Scholarship Celebration

Without a doubt, now is the time for all of us to come together. As the COVID-19 pandemic intensifies and now has a direct, profound impact on most every family in New Jersey, we are reminded of a time in the not-so-distant past, when our nation came together to confront another common foe: the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001.

In the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic and in the interest of public health and safety, we postponed Mercer County Community College’s Annual Scholarship Celebration – our signature fundraiser for student scholarships – with the new date being September 11, 2020. At the time we felt this was an appropriate, and fitting, tribute to the perseverance of the American spirit and our willingness to come together in a time of crisis. But as the number of COVID-19 cases spiral and the death toll climbs, we now feel that day is an inappropriate time for celebration.

While the needs for our students have never been greater, we must regrettably once again postpone the date for our Annual Scholarship Celebration out of respect for our friends, neighbors, and loved ones who have succumbed to this invisible foe. We will be in touch in the near future with our plans to honor our deserving students, and how you can come to their aid in this time of their greatest need.
