Certificate of Achievement

The Web Development micro-credential program is designed for those who wish to develop entry-level web development skills in a short time. Students learn how to design and build websites and applications, involving both front-end and back-end development. The acquired skills enable successful graduates of the program to become a web application developer.

PROGRAM OUTCOMES
  • Design and create web pages;
  • Build web applications with database integration.

Successful completion of credits from this Certificate of Achievement can be applied toward the Mobile and Web Computing certificate. All courses in this program completed with a grade of C or better may be applied toward the Information Technology, Computer Information Systems, or Computer Science degree programs.

Admission to the program requires computer literacy, one year of high school algebra, readiness for college-level English and Math, and approval from the program coordinator. Prior programming experience is helpful but not necessary. Students may receive credit for previous training in a skills area by applying for credit by examination, credit by experience, and/or transfer credit as evaluated and approved by the program coordinator.

Some courses may be offered only during the evening and some only in alternate semesters. It is essential that students plan ahead in consultation with the program coordinator.
