The Next Step Nursing Fund assist students who need financial assistance to pay for the licensing exam (NCLEX), license application, and other expenses associated with entering the nursing profession.  The costs can be up to $500 per student and are incurred during their last semester of nursing school.

All applicants to the professional phase of the Nursing Education program must attend a Nursing Information Session. Students are encouraged to attend as early in their course of study as possible.

Essential Functions for Nursing Students

The Fall 2023 application period is now closed. Applicants will be notified by USPS of the admission decision. The next application period is March 15th-April 15th, 2024 for a seat in the fall 2024 day program option.

The Associate Degree Nursing program supports the mission of Mercer County Community

College. The faculty is committed to providing high quality nursing education to meet the diverse and changing health-care needs of the community and to promote the development of qualified students prepared for the professional role of the entry level registered nurse. Students will be challenged to achieve their goals in a caring, creative and engaged learning environment.
