Students will use real time data of a satellite’s motion and that satellite’s mass to:
1) calculate the mass of the Earth
2) calculate the weight of a satellite in orbit around the Earth
3) calculate the weight of the Earth
(Note: The weight of the Earth is not the same as its mass.)
