Distinguished Lecture Series: Human Trafficking on March 12 

Human trafficking is the next topic of the college's upcoming Spring 2020 Distinguished Lecture Series. Monica Kristen, Statewide Supervisor of the Dream Free Program and Kim Murphy, who launched the Human Trafficking Ministry at the Edinburg Road Chapel, will lead the talk. Their presentation will cover a range of counseling opportunities for victims of human trafficking through the Dream Free Program. The talk will be held on Thursday, March 12 in the Communications Building, Room CM109, from noon to 1 p.m. Read more here.

Gallery Reception and Artist Talk: 'The Road' March 12

In its first of a series of guest curated shows, the James Kerney Campus Gallery presents a new photography exhibition by “Float Photo” magazine founders Dana Stirling and Yoav Friedlander entitled, “The Road.” The show, which opened February 24, runs through March 27 and features photographic images of iconic Americana. The public is invited to a reception with curators, Stirling and Friedlander, Thursday, March 12 from 5 till 7 p.m. with a talk at 6 p.m. at the JKC Gallery, Trenton Hall, 137 North Broad Street in Trenton. Read more here.

Pierrot Productions Brings '33 Variations' to Kelsey Theatre March 13-22

Pierrot Productions is proud to present “33 Variations” at Kelsey Theatre March 13 through 22. Written by Moisés Kaufman (of “The Laramie Project” fame), “33 Variations” is a fascinating story inspired by one of classical music’s most enduring riddles: Why did Beethoven, during his final years, write 33 different variations of a seemingly insignificant waltz by a minor composer? Kelsey Kids’ ‘Chicken Dance’ Literature-Based Musical Delights Young Minds March 21

As part of the Kelsey Kids Series, the literature-based musical for young children,“Chicken Dance,” will have kids giggling and strengthening family connections at MCCC's Kelsey Theatre on Saturday, March 21 at 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. Read more here.

Former MCCC Foundation Chair to be Honored at Annual Scholarship Gala

Nina Melker, Senior Vice President at Berkshire Bank in Hamilton, will be honored with the Distinguished Service Award at MCCC's 31st Annual Scholarship Celebration on April 17Melker’s involvement with the college dates back to the late 1980s when she served as Senior Vice President at Yardville National Bank. The college community is invited to a Women’s History Month Tea on Monday, March 23, at 2 p.m. in the Faculty and Staff Dining Room of the West Windsor Campus Student Center. MCCC Baseball Wins Five Straight to Improve to 7-3

Following a string of losses against Harford and Monroe College, the Vikings bounced back to win five straight games, including a pair of double-headers this weekend. The team's seven home runs through the first week of the season place the Vikings at 40th in the nation. Physical Therapist Assistant Students Experience a Morning From the Patient’s Perspective

Students in the Physical Therapist Assistant program had the opportunity to walk a mall in their patient’s shoes, donning a variety of assistance devices and attempting to accomplish a variety of everyday tasks during Different Abilities Day. This is the 24th year Professor Barbara Behrens has conducted Different Abilities Day as an exercise for her PTA students, giving students the opportunity to “live the life of a patient with a physical disability for a morning” during a trip to Quakerbridge Mall. Through May 6: Lunchtime Yoga, Zumba.   The Student Life and Leadership Department sponsors Yoga and Zumba classes for students, faculty, and staff. Monday Evening Yoga begins Feb. 10 and runs through May 4  in PE225 from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday Zumba starts Feb. 11 and continues through May 5 in the Gym from noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday Lunchtime Yoga begins Feb. 12 and runs through May 6 in the Gym from noon to 1 p.m. (No Classes the Week of Spring Break March 16-20).
