College Visits Continue Feb. 25
Remind your students that representatives from two four-year institutions will visit the West Windsor Campus this week. On Feb. 25, representatives from Wilmington Univesrity will host a table outside the cafeteria from orientation for new students (pre-registration requested); 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., SC104. Then, on Feb. 27, Stockton University staff will answer student questions outside of the cafeteria from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Transfer Workshop for Rowan University Feb. 26

Rowan University will host a free transfer workshop for prospective students on Tuesday, Feb. 26 from noon to 1 p.m. in ET 217. For a full list of transfer workshops, click here

Rutgers University at Mercer Instant Decision Day Feb. 26 

Tell your students that they can get an instant decision to Business Administration, Labor Studies, and RN to BN programs at Rutgers University at Mercer on Wednesday, Feb. 26. The event will be held in ES134 from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. For more info call Ext. 3490.

Student-Run Restaurant 'The Viking Cafe' Opens Feb. 27

'The Viking Cafe,' a student-run restuarant, is opening for business this week! The menu features classics like the Old-Fashioned Bacon Cheeseburger and Pulled Pork with Pickled Onions and Jalapenos, as well as a trendy, plant-based menus with entrees like a Plant-Based "Osso Buco." Final NJ FAFSA Day for Spring 2020 Feb. 29

The college welcomes those who are in need of professional assistance to file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid to the James Kerney Campus on Feb. 29 from 9 a.m. to noon in KC225. More info here.

Student Government-Organized Career Closet Opens March 2

Student Life is hosting a new initiative this year - a Career Closet! Students who are going on interviews sometimes don't have an outfit to wear. Students are welcome to "shop" at the closet for interview and work related clothing on Monday, March 2 from noon to 1 p.m. in SC104.

Pierrot Productions Brings '33 Variations' to Kelsey Theatre From March 13-22

Pierrot Productions is proud to present “33 Variations” at Kelsey Theatre March 13 through 22. Written by Moisés Kaufman (of “The Laramie Project” fame), “33 Variations” is a fascinating story inspired by one of classical music’s most enduring riddles: Why did Beethoven, during his final years, write 33 different variations of a seemingly insignificant waltz by a minor composer? MCCC Seeking Nominations for Athletics Hall of Fame

Backed by more than a half-century of sports excellence, the MCCC Foundation and its newly-formed MCCC Athletics Committee (MAC) have announced the establishment of the MCCC Athletics Hall of Fame to honor those who have distinguished themselves on the field and on the court. Final Week of Celebration for Black History Month
After a festive month featuring food, performances and vendors, MCCC is set to cap off it's Black History Month celebration with a visit from Lt. Governor Sheila Oliver on Thursday, Feb. 27 at noon. The public, as well as student staff and faculty are invited to attend the event, which will be hosted in the cafeteria. Final MCCC Center for Continuing Studies to Offer Casualty, Health and Life Insurance Training
The spring semester at MCCC's Center for Continuing Studies is beginning with a new partnership to prepare employees for insurance licensing. The Insurance Pre-Licensing Education course features three offerings: Casualty, Health and Life Insurance. The courses run 40-hours each and are designed to meet and exceed the required learning objectives in line with the New Jersey Department of Banking and Insurance. Read more here

 

 


 


Reminders

Through May 6: Lunchtime Yoga, Zumba.   The Student Life and Leadership Department sponsors Yoga and Zumba classes for students, faculty, and staff. Monday Evening Yoga begins Feb. 10 and runs through May 4  in PE225 from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday Zumba starts Feb. 11 and continues through May 5 in the Gym from noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday Lunchtime Yoga begins Feb. 12 and runs through May 6 in the Gym from noon to 1 p.m. (No Classes the Week of Spring Break March 16-20).
