Jim Maccariella is a professor and coordinator of both the Engineering Science and Civil Engineering Technology programs. He has over twenty years experience as a consulting engineer. In addition, he has taught engineering courses at Rowan University, Norwich University, The College of New Jersey, and Mercer County Community College. He is a Licensed Professional Engineer in New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania. He has presented papers on the subject of engineering and education at over a dozen conferences throughout the country.
Projects that he designed have won the following awards: American Council of Engineering Companies (7 projects), and a Historic Preservation Award.
He is currently the principal investigator for a National Science Foundation Grant and several Innovation Grants. In addition, he was awarded the Darden College of Education Graduate Fellowship from Old Dominion University.
