BUSINESS Administration

Welcome to the Business Administration program at Mercer County Community College! Whether you are on your college journey or looking to expand your business knowledge, our program provides a strong foundation in key business principles while preparing you to transfer to a four-year college or university. Our curriculum emphasizes the critical thinking, problem-solving, communication, and analytical skills needed to succeed in today’s dynamic business environment. 

In addition to the general Business Administration program, we offer three concentrations that allow you to specialize in an area of interest: 

Financial Technology – Explore the evolving intersection of finance and technology, with exposure to areas such as digital banking, financial technologies, and emerging innovations in the financial sector.

Global Business – Develop an understanding of international markets, global trade, and the economic and cross-cultural factors that shape business decisions around the world.

Sports Management – Explore the business side of the sports industry, including areas such as management and marketing.

Our goal is to create a supportive and engaging learning environment where students are encouraged to ask questions, seek guidance, and build meaningful connections with faculty and peers. Our faculty are committed to mentoring students and providing the academic support and guidance needed for success.

New Students: Welcome! You will be assigned a faculty advisor in your second semester. Once assigned, be sure to connect with your advisor before registering for courses and to discuss your academic and transfer plans.

Current Students: Meet with your faculty advisor each semester to ensure that you are meeting graduation requirements, selecting courses appropriately, and making progress toward your transfer and career goals.

Visiting Students: We welcome students from other colleges and universities. Many of our business courses may be transferable to your home institution. Please confirm course equivalencies and transferability with your home institution before registering.

I encourage you to enhance your college experience by joining one of our business-focused student organizations. These clubs provide opportunities to build leadership skills, connect with other students, network with professionals, and explore business beyond the classroom.

Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) – Build leadership and professional skills and participate in business-related activities and competitions.

Mercer Investments Finance Club – Gain hands-on exposure to finance and investing while connecting with alumni, academics, and professionals in the financial industry.

Marketing Club – Explore current trends in marketing, advertising, branding, and consumer engagement.

Women in Business – Connect with and support fellow students while exploring professional development, leadership, and career opportunities in business.
