OPPORTUNITIES
- Students who choose the Mopar Career Automotive Program (Mopar CAP) secure a position as an intern automotive service technician at a Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram, or Fiat dealership during a series of paid internships.
- Students who choose Subaru Universitysecure a position as an intern automotive service technician at a Subaru dealership during a series of paid internships.
- Students who choose the Comprehensive Automotive Programsecure a position as an intern automotive service technician at an approved, full-service automotive repair facility during a series of paid internships.
- Program graduates who choose to participate in the Audi Education Partnership (AEP) complete Audi factory training and work full-time as a service technician at their sponsoring Audi dealership, once they complete AEP.
Graduates of the MCCC automotive program generally move into full-time employment at their sponsoring internship location. Although this is not a requirement, it creates an easy transition into full-time employment for the graduate. Employers are thrilled to keep students working full-time after graduation!
There is a wide array of career opportunities in the automotive industry. Historically, individuals working in the industry who are not directly servicing and repairing vehicles began their career working as a service technician.
Mercer’s program provides a good starting point for beginning a lifelong career as an automotive service technician or it can be used as a springboard into other positions within the automotive industry. Career opportunities are available worldwide!
