MCCC’s Learning Centers Add to Virtual Programming with Tutoring and Financial Programs

06/03/20

West Windsor, N.J. – Following the success of its on-going writing and success workshops, Mercer County Community College’s (MCCC) Learning Centers are rolling out two new programs to help students manage their studies and finances amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

“We hear such great feedback during our daily sessions that we wanted to open the floor for other opportunities that help our students as they dive into summer classes,” said John Kashmer, Coordinator of Tutoring Services.

In addition to the Learning Centers’ daily Writing and Virtual Front Desk hours, Kashmer’s team is introducing “Ask Diana!”, an hour-long question and answer session with MCCC master tutor Diana Goodman.

Goodman’s experience is founded in a range of subjects, including algebra, chemistry, ESL, physics, and more. A graduate of Princeton University, Goodman is certified as a tutor by both MCCC and Purdue University.

“Ask Diana!” is slated to run Monday through Friday from 1:00-2:00 p.m. over Zoom. Interested participants can log into the Zoom room by clicking this link.

Additionally, the Learning Centers are featuring a one-time personal finance seminar over Zoom on Friday, June 5 from 1:30-3:00 p.m. Hosted by Dave Lal, Retired Managing Director of The Bank of New York Mellon. To join the financial seminar this Friday, click here.
