MCCC
Soccer Standouts Frank Tweneboa and
Kasey Kenny Named All-Americans
12/7/09
West Windsor,
N.J. - Sophomores Frank Tweneboa (Pennsauken, N.J.) and Kasey Kenny
(Staten Island, N.J.) have capped their Mercer County Community
College soccer careers alongside some of the other great players
in the Vikings' tradition-rich programs. The National Junior College
Athletic Association named Tweneboa a first-team All-American and
Kenny an honorable-mention All-American.
For Kenny, it was her second straight All-American season. She was
named to the second team as a freshman in 2008.
Tweneboa's calling card was his versatility. The forward could be
a playmaker, a scorer or someone who could control possession and
get MCCC headed toward an opponent's goal. He finished with three
goals and seven assists and was a leader for coach Charlie Inverso's
14-2 squad.
Kenny was a flat-out scorer all season. Her 31 goals surpassed the
29 she had as a freshman. She also assisted on six goals as the
Vikings finished 16-5-1 and were Region 19 Tournament champions.
Earlier this fall, Tweneboa and Kenny were both named first-team
selections for Region 19 and the Garden State State Athletic Conference.
