Sophomore Krista Regan Selected as
MCCC Woman Athlete of the Year

Sophomore Krista Regan was selected as Mercer County Community College''s Woman of the Year for her outstanding performance on the basketball court and in the classroom. She represented Mercer at the Garden State Athletic Conference's annual celebration of National Girls and Women in Sports Day held at Seton Hall University on Feb. 3.

Regan has been a two-year starting guard on the Mercer women's basketball team, serving as team captain this season. She will also play outfield for the women's softball team this spring. Majoring in Liberal Arts, she plans to transfer to a four-year college to study Health and Physical Education. She volunteers for Special Olympics and serves as a volunteer recreation coach for youth basketball.

Said MCCC Athletic Director John Simone, "Krista is the epitome of a team player, supporting her coaches and teammates as an active leader. She also maintains excellence in academics."
