The offensive explosion of sophomore outfielder Lou Alvarez over

versus Burlington County College on April 17. In game one, Alvarez
collected three hits, scored twice and had an RBI in a 8-6 win.
In the second game, he had two hits and an RBI in the Vikings' 5-0
victory. On the season Alvarez has compiled 17 hits. Heading intot
Saturday's doubleheader, he had a .261 batting average.
A second key to Mercer's sweep of Burlington over the weekend was
James Page's dominant performance on the mound. Page, who earned
a pre-season baseball scholarship to attend St. Peter's College
next year, pitched a four-hit shut-out in Mercer's 5-0 victory.
