The 2016-2017 College Catalog is now in production, with content review and updates being solicited college-wide. Anyone with updates to contribute should contact the point person (dean, director, supervisor, coordinator, etc.) for the area involved. There were handshakes, hugs and tears as the college celebrated the graduation and pinning of 29 Nursing students at Kelsey Theatre Jan. 12. Students say they completed the rigorous program with hard work, perseverance and the support of classmates, faculty members and family. Read about it here.
The Financial Aid Office is pleased to be a partner of the “FAFSA Days” (formerly known as College Goal Sunday) for Mercer residents. Prospective students will get on-site assistance with the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) online. Do it right and they will come! Communication faculty member Kathi Paluscio and several of her students designed and presented "Communication Mashup 2015" in November. Offering "something for everyone," the event drew a large crowd including current Communication students, alumni and prospective students. Read about it here.

As part of a Black History Month celebration, the Steven Kasher Gallery in New York City will present a solo exhibition featuring 75 works by the late Lou Draper, coordinator of MCCC's Photography department from 1982 to 2002. The retrospective runs through Feb. 20. Read more on the gallery's website here.
As teammates on the MCCC 2010-11 men's basketball team, Gary Carthan and Jonathan Jernigan learned a lot about hard work and perseverance, lessons that are serving them well as they continue their college careers. In December, they faced off on the court as players for their respective four-year schools. Read their stories here.
