Symphonic Band to Perform Winter Concert Dec. 16
The Mercer County Symphonic Band will presents its 2015 Winter Concert on Wednesday, Dec. 16, at 7:30 p.m. at Kelsey Theatre.  Admission is free. The program includes a sampling from the classics, popular music, and seasonal favorites, including the band’s annual Holiday Sing-Along. More here.

"The Nutcracker" Caps Off Holiday Season at Kelsey Dec. 18-20
The New Jersey Youth Ballet presents its original hour-long, narrated adaptation of "The Nutcracker" Dec. 18-20 at Kelsey Theatre. Read more here.

Families Invited to Mercer's AAWCC Holiday Party Dec. 19
Faculty and staff families are welcome at Mercer's AAWCC Holiday Party, to be held Dec. 19 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the West Windsor Campus gymnasium. The festive event for children and grandchildren will feature games, crafts, food, prizes, and more! See the flyer here. Faculty and Staff Holiday Reception Dec. 22
Don't forget to RSVP for this year’s Faculty and Staff Holiday Reception on Tuesday, Dec. 22, 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. in the Faculty Dining Room in the West Windsor Student Center. MCCC is also teaming up with the Trenton Area Soup Kitchen to collect donations of non-perishable food and winter clothing for families in need from Dec. 15-Dec. 22, with collection boxes currently located in Human Resources (AD101) and other areas on both campuses. Local Aviation Industry Helps Students Reach For the Skies
The “Sky’s the Limit” TTN Scholarship Fund golf tournament, held for the sole benefit of MCCC Aviation Flight Technology students, yielded a record total of $28,000 in proceeds that created $5,000 scholarships to cover flight fees for five students. Read more here.

Radiography Club Supports Breast Cancer Detection Efforts Half a World Away
When student officers from the MCCC Radiography Club first heard about the ?India Mission Foundation, they were intrigued. The health-focused October trip to India, which was to be carried out as a joint enterprise between Princeton Radiology Associates and the Princeton YWCA's Breast Cancer Resource Center, was quickly deemed a charity worthy of the club’s support. Holocaust Survivors Share Experiences With History Students
With vivid memories of the Warsaw ghettos to the Auschwitz death camp, local Holocaust survivors shared their experiences with a group of Mercer history students during the Holocaust Survivor's Luncheon, hosted by the Mercer County Holocaust-Genocide Resource Center. Read more here.

Students in Hybrid Business Practice Firm Launch Digital Travel Magazine
This semester the MCCC Business and Technology Division rolled out a first as part of its long-running and highly successful International Business Practice Firm course (BUS 296), in which students run a virtual travel agency and assume a number of jobs, just as they would in a real workplace. Nearly 100 Instruments Donated to WWFM’s 'Instruments for Change' Drive
In observance of Giving Tuesday on Dec. 1, WWFM The Classical Network hosted a musical instrument drive, in partnership with Princeton University, that has significantly added to the supply of musical instruments for the Trenton Community Music School. Read more here.

Reminders

Through Dec. 14: Kelsey Theatre Toys for Tots Collection. Donation boxes for new, unwrapped toys are located in the Kelsey Theatre lobby for the U.S. Marine Corps "Toys for Tots" campaign. Director of Veteran Services John Becker will help coordinate the effort.

Through Dec. 16: Crayon and Book Collection for Children's Hospital. Members of the Future Teachers Club and the Kappa Delta Pi Honor Society seek donations of eight-packs of Crayola crayons to children at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. Also requested are books that teach kindness and respect appropriate for children in grades K-3. The drop-off box is located in front of the Holocaust-Genocide Resource Center, next to the book store.

Jan. 11 & 12: MercerOnline Tech and Blackboard Workshops.MercerOnline will offer technology and Blackboard workshops on Monday, Jan. 11, and Tuesday, Jan. 12. In addition, all faculty and staff are encouraged to attend another Open House in the Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) in CM126B on to Jan. 12 at noon.
