MCCC's vast array of credit courses can be applied towards both career and transfer programs. Our noncredit courses and programs can facilitate your needs whether your goal is to prepare for a new career, advance in your current job, learn new skills, develop a personal interest or enrich your children's lives. Please browse our Web site to help you decide which program and courses will be Your Best Choice.

Choosing a Program

Mercer offers a wide variety of programs which lead directly to employment or to transfer to other colleges for further education. Professional staff and faculty are available to assist students in selecting programs most suited to their needs and goals. (See sections on Cooperative Education, Career Services, and Transfer to Four-Year Colleges.)

Articulation agreements that Mercer has signed with other colleges, including a program-sharing agreement with Bucks County Community College, benefit degree and non-degree students with broadened learning opportunities, convenience, and/or monetary savings.

It is important for students to exercise patience and care in selecting programs of study and to think about the future and their answers to the following questions:

  • What careers interest me?
  • Is a four-year college education in my future?
  • What credits will I be able to transfer to a four-year college?
  • Which college program will provide the best training for the career I want?
  • What are the academic requirements of the program that is best for me? Given my abilities and interests, am I being realistic?
  • How can I plan my financial resources and meet personal responsibilities so that I can go to college?
  • What college services and financial programs are available to me?
