Testing Center

Including most Spring Semester classes through April, MCCC is operating remotely, with the physical Trenton campus currently closed except for limited classes and other college-sanctioned activities.  Refer to Ongoing Sources and Support for Student Success as well as MCCC Remote / COVID-19 Information & Resources for matters vital to all, including plans for returning to campus.
The TESTING CENTERS are only operating remotely at this time.

The JKC Testing Center supports the mission of the college by providing services to faculty and delivering exams to students in an appropriate testing environment that ensures academic integrity in accordance with the guidelines of the National College Testing Association Standards.

In the Academic Testing Center, you will be able to take the ESL Accuplacer test as well as testing for all classes at the Trenton Campus, provided that your professor has made arrangements for you to take exams outside of class.

Hours for Academic Testing:
Mon. - Thurs.: 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Friday: 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Saturday: 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

NOTE: Tests (except for the college skills placement test) are distributed up to 30 minutes before closing time.

All papers must be handed in 15 minutes before closing time.

Tests available at JKC Testing Center:

  • Credit classes departmental and individual instructors exams
  • ESL Accuplacer Placement Test
  • Mercer's Pre-calculus and Calculus placement test as determined by the math department and only with their written permission.

TASC Test Assessing Secondary Completion™ is a state-of-the-art and affordable national high school equivalency assessment, accessible to the approximately 40 million adults in the U.S. who have not graduated from high school or obtained an equivalency diploma.

Subject Areas and Grades

TASC test assesses five subject areas including Reading, Writing, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies. It measures examinees' levels of achievement and readiness for college and the workforce as outlined by the Common Core State Standards.
