Due to the COVID-19 situation, MCCC's Spring 2020 Commencement has been cancelled as a traditional on-campus event.
Dear Prospective Graduate,
Foremost, I hope this message finds you and your family well. I want to congratulate you on your academic achievements, and understand that you are looking forward to celebrate your success at your commencement.
While we very much want to celebrate with you in person, unfortunately, we cannot do so this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Indeed, we regretfully must cancel Mercer County Community College's traditional on-campus Honors and Commencement ceremonies in order to ensure your safety and health and that of your families.
But that won't keep you from getting an MCCC diploma in your hands! As part of our move to online services, the college has arranged for you to receive your diploma, along with a congratulatory letter, electronically. We will also mail your physical diploma to you in the weeks that follow.
In addition, we will be delighted to welcome you in cap and gown to walk in next year’s (2021) ceremony. For those who achieve Honors, we will invite you to attend next year’s Honors Convocation. The college will reach out to you with details as that day nears.
The Class of 2020 will remain among the most memorable in the history of the college. You persist to graduate in spite of the unprecedented challenges. We are so very proud of you! We wish you continued success and happiness in your pursuits beyond Mercer.
If you have any questions or plan to delay your graduation for further study at Mercer, please email email@example.com.
