'Desires of a Criminal' Benefit Show Jan. 8
After a three-show run at MCCC's Studio Theatre, the college’s Academic and Dance Theatre students' performance of "Desires of a Criminal, a Devised Theatrical Collage," will return to local theatre for an encore performance that will support the show's appearance at the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival in January. Read more here.

 

'Calendar Girls' Returns to Kelsey Theatre Jan. 11
The Kelsey Theatre and the Pennington Players continue their run of the popular, fun and risqué British comedy “Calendar Girls” — a true story based on the lives of eleven extraordinary Women’s Institute ladies who pose nude for a calendar to raise money for the Leukemia Research Fund. The show's second weekend runs from January 11 and 12. Merchandise sold during the performances will benefit Capital Health Cancer Center. Read more here.
MCCC’s Kelsey Theatre Welcomes '12 Angry Men' Jan. 17-26

The life of a young man hangs in the balance and rests in the hands of 12 jurors in a seemingly open-and-shut case. However, can they set aside personal prejudices and preconceptions in the name of justice? That is the question for “12 Angry Men,” presented by Forté Dramatic Productions Jan. 17-26 at MCCC's Kelsey Theatre. Read more here.

Summer Camps Open House Jan. 26

MCCC invites families to a Summer Camps Open House on Sunday, Jan. 26, noon to 3 p.m., in the Student Center. (Snow date: Sunday, Feb. 2.) Camp directors will be on hand to provide overviews of all camp programs and answer questions about scheduling, staffing and pricing. Tours of MCCC's facilities will be available. More than 70 options are available for fun and enrichment during Summer 2020. The season begins June 22 and runs through August 14. More info here.

MCCC Announces Black History Month Schedule
“Destination vs. Reality” is the theme for MCCC's 2020 observance of Black History Month. This February, the college will host a number of special events with an emphasis on culture, relationships and education. Read more here. For a full schedule of events, click here.

 

Eiichi Yamaguchi Earns MCCC's First NJCAA All-American Bid of 2019-20 Academic Year
After Eiichi Yamaguchi’s first goal of the 2019 season on Aug. 24, the entirety of the MCCC men’s soccer team exhaled a sigh of relief. The goal was the first sign that the sophomore, who was returning to the pitch for the first time in two years, was capable of picking up where he left off. Read more here.

 

American Red Cross Lifeguarding Course Begins Jan. 9
The American Red Cross Lifeguarding course is to provide entry-level lifeguard participants with the knowledge and skills to prevent, recognize and respond to aquatic emergencies and to provide professional-level care for breathing and cardiac emergencies, injuries and sudden illnesses until emergency medical services personnel take over. This program offers a choice of Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR/AED courses to meet the various training needs of a diverse audience. The 30-hour course will begin on Jan. 9. To register, click here.
