'12 Angry Men' Returns to Kelsey Theatre Jan. 24
The life of a young man hangs in the balance and rests in the hands of 12 jurors in a seemingly open-and-shut case. However, can they set aside personal prejudices and preconceptions in the name of justice? That is the question for “12 Angry Men,” presented by Forté Dramatic Productions Jan. 24-26 at MCCC's Kelsey Theatre. Read more here.

 

'Rosie Revere, Engineer' Graces Kelsey Theatre Jan. 25
As part of the Kelsey Kids Series, a fun, new musical “Rosie Revere, Engineer” will delight at MCCC's Kelsey Theatre Saturday, Jan. 25 at 2 and 4 p.m. The production is presented by TheaterWorksUSA, a company that creates transformative theatrical experiences for young and family audiences. Read more here.

 

Youth Summer Camps Open House Jan. 26
MCCC invites families to a Summer Camps Open House on Sunday, Jan. 26, noon to 3 p.m., in the Student Center. (Snow date: Sunday, Feb. 2.) Camp directors will be on hand to provide overviews of all camp programs and answer questions about scheduling, staffing and pricing. Tours of MCCC's facilities will be available. More than 70 options are available for fun and enrichment during Summer 2020. The season begins June 22 and runs through August 14. More info here.

 

Student Success Workshop Meet and Greet in Cafeteria Jan. 28
Remind your students that MCCC's success coaches and staff will be hosting a meet and greet in the West Windsor Cafeteria on Jan. 28 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Giving Begins at Home for Retired NJ Council of County Colleges President Lawrence Nespoli 
While some individuals turn to philanthropic giving after a life-changing event or in response to a dire societal need, for Dr. Lawrence Nespoli, a career educator and the recently-retired president of the New Jersey Council of County Colleges, it’s something embedded in his DNA. Add this to his familiarity with the importance of community colleges in general and the specific role MCCC plays in providing an accessible, affordable education, the MCCC Foundation was a logical choice for a very special gift. MCCC Partners with Kindersmile to Bring Free Dental Care to Trenton's Underserved Community
An organization that has brought healthy smiles to thousands of New Jersey children will partner with MCCC to bring free dental care and oral health to underserved communities in the state’s capital city. Read more here.

 

Fitness Classes Resume for Spring Semester
The Student Life and Leadership Department sponsors Yoga and Zumba classes for students. Monday Evening Yoga begins Feb. 10 and runs through May 4  in PE225 from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday Zumba starts Feb. 11 and continues through May 5 in the Gym from noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday Lunchtime Yoga begins Feb. 12 and runs through May 6 in the Gym from noon to 1 p.m. (No Classes the Week of Spring Break March 16-20). 

 

Soup and Ceramics Raise Record Funds for Trenton Area Soup Kitchen

After a successful first run at fundraising last year, MCCC Hospitality and Visual Arts clubs reunited last month in support of the Trenton Area Soup Kitchen. Read more here.

Jan. 30: MCCC and Fulton Bank Blood Drive. On Thursday, MCCC and Fulton Bank of New Jersey will be hosting a Blood Drive. Donate at the Student Center, SC104 from 11 a.m to 4 p.m. Take the chance to help save a life by donating blood.See the flyer  here.

Black History Month Begins Feb 1.  “Destination vs. Reality” is the theme for MCCC 2020 observance of Black History Month. This February, the college will host a number of special events with an emphasis on culture, relationships and education, beginning with a  Fashion Show Scholarship Event at JKC on Feb. 1 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Read more here.
