West Windsor, N.J. - Mercer County Community College (MCCC) has launched new a Business Resource Center on August 7 focused on supporting business recovery and development throughout Mercer County.
Those resources focus on MCCC’s programs and services for business recovery, improvement and development.
With the coronavirus pandemic hurting businesses around New Jersey, Mercer County Community College is reaffirming our commitment to supporting businesses. Just last month, the college held its first ever virtual employment fair, connecting job seekers to businesses.
“It is our mission to serve our communities. Now more than ever, we need to be the resource center for our business communities and to provide hope for the businesses that are experiencing unprecedented stress,” says Dr. Jianping Wang, President of the College.
Dr. Wang also noted that many of these negatively impacted businesses are small and/or minority owned. The college is looking to work with directly with the African American Chamber of Commerce and the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, to ensure these programs are accessible to those who need them most.
“We have tailored many of our established programs that support nearly all areas, including Technology, Finance, Business, and Customer Service,” said Dr. Perez in charge of delivering those services. “We also will make space available for students in need with reduced or free tuition.”
“At Mercer, you can plan an educational experience uniquely tailored to your interests and goals, appropriately blending with your lifestyle and schedule. Then, proceed at your own pace toward accomplishment and toward MCCC exceeding your expectations,” says Dr. Robert Schreyer, Vice President of Academic Affairs.
In keeping with social distancing guidelines, the majority of courses from both the credit and non-credit sides will be offered online. In-person sections will follow rigorous protocols to ensure the safety of those in attendance. To learn more , please visit mccc.edu/businesshelp.
