MCCC’s Kelsey Theatre, NJ Lyric Opera to Present Evening of Opera Favorites Oct. 26

Both rare and favorite opera selections part of immersive experience

WEST WINDSOR, NJ - Opera aficionados will be treated to an immersive, cinematic evening of hidden gems and all-time favorites, when New Jersey Lyric Opera and Mercer County Community College’s (MCCC) Kelsey Theatre present “Opera Gala Soiree: Live and On Stage” on Thursday, Oct. 26.

Audience members will be treated to an immersive, cinematic, and visually-stunning program featuring live performances of opera favorites, including George Bizet’s “Pearl Fisher Duet,” Mozart’s “Queen of the Night” aria, Dvorak’s “Song to the Moon” from Rusalka, “Nessun Dorma” from Puccini’s Turandot, and a special scene from Don Giovanni. In addition, the program will include rare opera gems throughout the evening.

Cast members include Natasha Scheuble, Holly Gash, Stacey Climie Canterbury, Christopher Fistonich, John Villemaire, Chaka Allen, Alex Gilliam, Joann Baiano, Bette Lazzaro, Timothy Kjer, Chris Lorge, Brittany Morgan, and Steven Switzer, with Sarah Joseph and John Calkins assisting on the production team.

Show time is at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 26, at the Kelsey Theatre, located on MCCC’s West Windsor campus at 1200 Old Trenton Road. Tickets are $25 and are available online at www.kelseytheatre.net or at the Kelsey box office, (609) 570-3333.
