On-Ramps to College Program
What is the On-Ramps to College Program?
MCCC On-ramps to College Program is looking for high school students currently in 11th or 12th grade for a
NO COST college readiness program that will provide English, Math and college skills training through a 4-week remote College Skills Seminar (SKS). Students who successfully pass this 4-week course will move forward and take ENG 101 (English Composition I). Students who pass ENG 101 with a “C” or better are then enrolled in ENG 102 and a 3-credit
General Education Elective of their choice.
What Will Students Receive?
- FREE tuition (9 college credits)
- FREE textbooks and course materials
- FREE Chromebook computer
In addition to earned college credits, students will receive a program orientation, individual success coaching sessions, financial aid and academic advising. This program will prepare students to be college-ready upon high school graduation and result in accumulated college credits that will apply to an associate's or baccalaureate degree, or high-skill, high-wage, in-demand industry credentials.
When Does The Program Meet?
This program will operate on a continuous enrollment cycle, including summer and winter sessions, with eligible cohorts beginning at the start of each academic semester (Fall 2021 through August 2023).
