Student Winter Concert Series Begins Nov. 21
When the weather gets colder that means one thing for MCCC Performing Arts students: Winter Concerts! The college’s Academic Theatre and Dance Company will present “The Happenings of Dance,” a free student winter dance concert, on Thursday, Nov. 21 and Friday, Nov. 22 at 7:30 pm in the Studio Theatre, adjacent to Kelsey Theatre. ‘Tis the Time for ‘Twas at MCCC’s Kelsey Theatre, Dec. 6, 7 & 8
The naughty and nice alike won’t want to miss Santa’s annual visit to Kelsey Theatre, when the Kelsey Players reprise a musical stage adaptation of the classic “Twas the Night Before Christmas” for five shows, Dec. 6-8. Children are invited to have their picture taken with Santa after the show. In addition, the theater is currently collecting new, unwrapped toys during all performances of “Twas” and continuing through Dec. 15. Read more

Med Lab Tech Club Presents at Boys and Girls Club Conference
MCCC Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) students and faculty once again worked with the Boys and Girls Club of Mercer County last week, as the club held its annual Teen STEM Conference in Lawrenceville.
On Nov. 7, MCCC Medical Laboratory Technology Professor Lisa Shave and students Christine Dizenzo and Jessica Lafrennie attended the conference with Biology Professor Laura Blinderman to host the panel “Microscopic Wonders of the World.” Read more

Students Showcase Professional Research at Biology and Chemistry
Whether they were tucked away in laboratories or canvassing local mountain ranges, five Biology and Chemistry students had plenty to show for their summer spent researching as part of the college’s Biology and Chemistry Honors programs.
Presenting in two groups on Oct. 28 and Nov. 11, the students relished the opportunity to both share the details of their projects, and encourage current students to pursue research of their own. Read more

No Zumba, Yoga Classes Next Week
Stockpile your zen this week, as there will be no yoga and Zumba classes during the week of Thanksgiving break. Classes will resume the week of Dec. 2, when evening yoga continues through Dec. 9 in PE 225 from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Wednesday lunchtime yoga classes will continue through Dec. 11 in the gym, noon to 1 p.m. See the flyer

Reminders
Through Dec. 15: HRIM Student Restaurant Serving Lunch. Collage, the Hotel, Restaurant and Institution Management (HRIM) Food Prep II student restaurant, is open for lunch for one final day on Wednesday, Nov. 20, featuring a plant-based menu and herbs grown on the West Windsor Campus by MCCC Horiticulture students. See the menu here. On Mondays through Dec. 9, the American Regional Student Restaurant will be serving dishes themed around locales across the U.S. Next up is a California menu on Monday, Nov. 25. Through Dec. 15: Toy Drive at Kelsey Theatre. Kelsey Theatre's seventh annual toy drive is now underway! Toys donated to Kelsey through Dec. 1 will support the Marines Toys for Tots drive, while toys collected between Dec. 2 to Dec. 15 will be donated to HomeFront in Lawrenceville. Kelsey Theatre also invites you to its Stuff Your Stockings Sale following select theatre performances. See the flyer for the sale and toy drive here.
