Autonomous Cars are Topic of Sierra Club Lecture Nov. 13
Princeton University autonomous vehicle expert Dr. Alain Kornhauser will deliver the Sierra Club lecture "Autonomous Cars: Where Do We Want to Go? What Do We Need to Get There?" on Wednesday, Nov. 13, with pizza served at 6 p.m. and the lecture beginning at 6:30 p.m. in SC104. Dr. Kornhauser will be discussing the several evolutions that seem possible in applying automation to cars from where we are today, and will discuss the environmental and societal implications of each, as well as the challenges going forward. All students, faculty, and staff are welcome. The event is free, with a small donation for pizza welcome. RSVP to: Kipatthesierraclub@gmail.com.

WPU at Mercer Open House Nov. 13
For MCCC students, transfer to the William Paterson University at Mercer program will be a piece of cake during an upcoming open house recruitment event! Coffee and cupcakes will be served as representatives discuss WPU's bachelor of arts degree completion programs on both the Mercer Campus and main campus in Wayne. See the flyer here.

Vera Goodkin to Speak at Holocaust Survivors Luncheon Nov. 14
The Mercer County Holocaust, Genocide, and Human Rights Education Center will host a Holocaust Survivors Luncheon with keynote speaker and MCCC Professor Emeritus Dr. Vera Goodkin on Thursday, Nov. 14, at noon in the Holocaust Center (LB200). Last Weekend for 'Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat' at Kelsey
It's your last chance to catch the ultimate story of sibling rivalry, betrayal, immense courage, and redemption at Kelsey Theatre with the Yardley Players’ production of “Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat,” Nov. 15-17. This family-friendly musical, with music by composer Andrew Lloyd Webber and lyricist Tim Rice, blends pop, country, and rock into an uplifting production filled with unforgettable songs. Stress Management for Law Officers is Topic for Lecture Nov. 14
The New Jersey Resiliency Program for Law Enforcement is the topic of a lecture at MCCC as part of the college’s Fall 2019 Distinguished Lecture Series. Veronica Allende, Director of the New Jersey Division of Criminal Justice, and Robert Czepiel, Senior Deputy Attorney General for the State of New Jersey and Chief of the Prosecutors Supervision and Training Bureau, will deliver the lecture on Thursday, Nov. 14 at noon in CM109. Kindness Rocks Project Returns to MCCC
The Kindness Rocks Project, an international grassroots movement to spread positivity and well-being, returns to MCCC this week. All are invited to paint a rock with inspiring words or a kind message on Wednesday, Nov. 13 from noon to 1 p.m. in SC104. See the flyer here.

HRIM Student Restaurant Opening For Wednesday Lunch
Collage, the Hotel, Restaurant and Institution Management (HRIM) Food Prep II student restaurant, is opening for lunch on Wednesday, Nov. 13 for the first of two dates only, featuring a plant-based menu and herbs grown on the West Windsor Campus by MCCC Horiticulture students. On Mondays through Dec. 9, the American Regional Student Restaurant will be serving dishes themed around locales across the U.S. Next up are the Midwestern states on Monday, Nov. 18. Alumnus Tracy Washington Goes International With Supply Chain Management
If you asked Tracy Washington to tell you about Supply Chain Management, he’d do so in a heartbeat. He’d tell you about the industry’s growth, its international appeal and its connection to nearly any field you can think of. He’d also tell you that Supply Chain Management is still one of the best kept secrets on college campuses, and that starting his studies in it at MCCC was one of the best decisions he ever made. Reminders

Through Dec. 15: Toy Drive at Kelsey Theatre. Kelsey Theatre's seventh annual toy drive has officially begun! Toys donated to Kelsey between through Dec. 1 will support Toys for Tots, while toys collected between Dec. 2 to Dec. 15 will be donated to Homefront in Lawrenceville. Kelsey Theatre also invites you to its Stuff Your Stockings Sale following select theatre performances. See the flyer for the sale and toy drive here.

FAFSA Days at MCCC. Remind your students that they can get free, professional help to fill out their Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at both the West Windsor and James Kerney Campuses on NJ FAFSA Days. The next event at the West Windsor Campus is Feb. 22 from 9 a.m. to noon in room AD233 and at JKC on Tuesday, Nov. 19 from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in KC225 For a full list of dates, click here.

Zumba, Yoga Classes Now Underway. Yoga and Zumba classes for staff and students are now underway! Evening yoga continues through Dec. 9 in PE 225 from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Wednesday lunchtime yoga classes continue through Dec. 11 in the gym, noon to 1 p.m. See the flyer here. Zumba classes will be held on Tuesdays, through Dec. 10, in the gym from noon to 1 p.m. See the flyer here. There will be no classes during the week of Thanksgiving break. Classes are presented through the Student Life and Leadership office.
