Women’s Basketball Player Haylee Kieffer Named GSAC Player of the Week

West Windsor, N.J. – Mercer County Community College (MCCC) freshman Haylee Kieffer, a member of the 2017-18 women’s basketball team, was named the Garden State Athletic Conference (GSAC) Division II Player of the Week for November 5-11.
Kieffer had 29 points, 16 rebounds and 5 steals in Mercer’s 69-21 win over Bucks County College on Nov. 9. Kieffer followed that performance with 16 points and 7 rebounds in a 58-47 win at Valley Forge on Nov. 11. And, on Nov. 5, Kieffer had 8 points and 9 rebounds in a 74-64 Vikings loss to Penn State Schuykill in the championship game of the Northampton Invitational. Kieffer was named to the All-Tournament Team at the Invitational.
Kieffer is currently fourth in National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division II women’s basketball in rebounds, averaging 14.8 per game; she is the leading defensive rebounder with 61 in 6 games. Kieffer is also in the top 50 in scoring, averaging 18.3 points per game.
