The Information Technology associate degree and associated Network Engineering Technology certificate of proficiency, based on guidelines from the Association for Computing Machinery, prepare students for jobs that support computing in a networked environment. These include entry-level positions as PC technicians, network administrators, help desk specialists, technical support specialists, and customer service representatives.

The Information Technology (and Cybersecurity concentration) and Network Engineering Technology programs at MCCC are partnered with the Cisco Academy, VMware Academy, Amazon AWS Academy, Linux Red Hat Academy, CompTIA Academy, Microsoft Azure Dev Tools, TestOut, and the National CyberWatch Center, to bring students the latest curriculum for industry certifications, including A+, NET+, Security+, Cisco CCNA, Microsoft MCP, and CEH in-demand training.

The Computer Support Specialist micro-credential provides an introduction to entry-level information technology positions. Successful completion of credits from this Certificate of Achievement can be applied toward the Information Technology degree program more
