MCCC Pool reservations

All users including faculty/staff and students must register for Pool or Fitness Center time prior to use. Please email Coordinator, Erin Cahill-Wetzel at to be added to the reservation system. If you are a current member who is unable to access the system, please contact Erin to get added or update email address to reserve time.

Pool Reopening Rules:

  • All swimmers must continue to wear masks except while in the water, regardless of their vaccination status.
  • Swim times will be assigned. Members must sign up in advance for a designated slot. Any member who does not have a reservation will be denied entry.
  • Members of the same family may share a lane. All other members are asked to reserve their own lane.
  • Social distance must be maintained while on the pool deck and in the facility.
  • No spectators may be present at any time during recreational swim. The pool and pool deck are for swimmers and lifeguards/staff only.
  • Locker rooms are not available for use at this time.
  • Members who show signs of illness or have had contact with an infected person may be denied access to the facility. All members will be screened upon entry to the facility. Anyone with a temperature of 100.4 or higher will be sent home.
  • Visitors must enter and exit in a staggered fashion.
  • Members should enter the pool area from the PE Lobby. Doors to the pool will remain open. Members will exit the pool from the back door past the locker rooms.
  • Members must shower before entering the pool.
  • Foot coverings must be worn on the pool deck and in restrooms.
  • Equipment such as googles, nose clips or swim caps cannot be shared with anyone.
  • No changing is permitted on the pool deck. Members should dry off with a towel and then exit the facility.
  • Water fountain use is for filling bottles only.
  • Members should enter and exit the pool from their lane rather than using the ladders if possible. If a member enters or exits the pool via the ladder steps, a lifeguard will wipe down the steps before another member uses the steps.
  • The diving board and starting blocks are off limits at this time.
  • Lane lines will remain in the pool.
  • Cleaning and wiping down of touched surfaces will take place at the conclusion of each swim block.

COVID-19 Signs and Symptoms

  • Please stay home if you experience any of the following symptoms, which are associated with COVID-19:
    • Fever (< 100.4 or higher)
    • Cough
    • Sore throat
    • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
    • New loss of taste or smell
    • Sore throat
    • Congestion or runny nose
    • Muscle or body aches (for unknown reasons)
    • Headache
    • Fatigue (for unknown reasons)
    • Diarrhea
    • Nausea or vomiting
    • Chills
  • Please stay home if you have had close contact with or cared for someone who was diagnosed with COVID-19 or suspected of having COVID-19 within the past 14 days.
  • Please stay home if you have travelled out of state in the past 14 days and visited any of the NJ Travel Advisory states.
  • All members will be screened upon entry to the facility including questions about symptoms, travel and COVID-19 contact. Temperatures will also be taken. If any member has a temperature of 100.4 or higher or answers yes to any screening questions, they will be denied entry to the facility. Any member that refuses to answer any screening questions or have their temperature taken will also be denied entry to the facility.
