Jennifer Lopresti Such

MCCC Athletics Hall of Fame

Jennifer Lopresti Such, of Hamilton, New Jersey, started playing softball when she was eight years old with YMCA, HTRBA, and Lou Gehrig teams. Lopresti Such graduated from Nottingham High School, where she was a pitcher all four years. In 1987, her senior year, Nottingham won the New Jersey State Championship. She also played summer ball for the Hopewell Renegades.

Lopresti Such attended MCCC following high school. She graduated from Mercer with her associate degree in Visual Arts (Photography). She was named a JUCO All-American both seasons and earned the MCCC Scholar Athlete Award in 1989.

That talent was also on display at Lopresti Such’s transfer school, Trenton State College, where she was a pitcher for two years. She was named an All-American in 1990 and 1991. She was Division III Pitcher of the Year in 1990 and 1991, and Division III Woman of the Year in 1991. She was also named a GTE Academic All-American in 1991.

She continued to play summer ball with the Royal Ladies and Northampton during college and beyond.

Lopresti Such continued her athletic career as a pitching coach at Nottingham, McCorristin, and Trenton high schools, including two seasons when her teams won national championships. She also coached at the Lions Softball Camp, Notre Dame Softball Camp, and Princeton University Softball Camp, and has shared her skills at softball clinics over the years. She was a private pitching instructor from 1993 to 2010.

Lopresti Such was inducted into the Nottingham High School Hall of Fame (2006) and the Trenton Softball Hall of Fame (2011).

Lopresti Such is the proud mom of two children, Nathaniel and Angela. She is in her 29th year as a teacher, currently teaching kindergarten. Still a sports enthusiast, she continues to stay active, skiing, biking, bowling, hiking, playing racquetball and doing Tae Kwon Do.

She tries to remember that she is no longer 20. Lopresti Such says she is striving to “do more yoga – as opposed to physical therapy.”
