Women's Moves to 2-0 with 9-0 Win vs RCSJ Gloucester

West Windsor, NJ-Mercer women’s tennis moved to 2-0 following a 9-0 win vs RCSJ Gloucester.  Sophomore Andrea Vasquez (San Felipe, Venezuela/Hightstown) won 6-0, 6-0 at 1st Singles and freshman Julia Fillat Ferrar (Barcelona, Spain) got a 6-2, 6-2 win at 2nd Singles.  At 3rd Singles, sophomore Diana Kalajdzic (East Windsor, NJ/Hightstown) got a 6-0, 6-2 win and freshman Aida Torrealba (San Felipe, Venezuela) won 6-1, 6-2 at 4th Singles.  Sophomore Makenna Swasey  (Hamilton, NJ/Steinert) won 6-2, 6-2 at 5th Singles and freshman Ema Budaite (Kaunus, Lithuania/The Grier School) got a 6-4, 6-3 win at 6th Singles.

 

In Doubles play, Kalajdzic and Torrelaba won 8-4 at 1st Doubles, Fillat Ferrar and Vasquez got an 8-0 win at 2nd Doubles and Swasey and Budaite won 8-5 at 3rd Doubles.

 

The Vikings next travel to USC Sumter for an invitational.
