West Windsor, NJ-Mercer softball (39-6) opened the Region 19 Playoffs with a 0-6 loss vs Salem CC (31-12). The Vikings managed just one hit from sophomore Abby Bell (Hightstown, NJ/Hightstown HS) in the game. Freshman pitcher Izzy Bonacci (Hamilton, NJ/Steinert) had five strikeouts in five innings in the loss.
The Vikings will face Lackawanna (35-18) in an elimination game at 4:00 PM in the Region Playoffs.
