West Windsor, NJ-Mercer softball moved to 35-5 on the season following a 8-0 Game 2 win vs Salem CC (26-12) in five innings. Sophomore Maya Patel (Burlington, NJ/Burlington Twp.) went 2 for 2 with a home run, double and 2 RBIs and freshman Izzy Bonacci (Hamilton, NJ/Steinert) was 2 for 3 with 2 RBIs and 2 runs. Freshman Angelina Guida (Monroe, NJ/Monroe Twp.) had 2 RBIs and 2 runs and freshman Madison Jobes (Roebling, NJ/Florence Twp. Memorial) added an RBI in the win.
Sophomore pitcher Shea Krebs (Robbinsville, NJ/Robbinsville HS) threw a one hitter and picked up 15th win of the season. Freshman Emily Wyzykowski (Westampton, NJ/Rancocas Valley) went 1 for 2 with an RBI and sophomore Abby Bell (Hightstown, NJ/Hightstown HS) and freshman Kelci O’Dell (Wrightstown, NJ/Northern Burlington) each had two hits in the win.
The Vikings next travel to Brookdale (12-11) for a 3:00 PM doubleheader on Thursday, April 25th.
