Schnecksville, PA-Mercer softball (29-5) swept Lehigh Carbon (2-12) with a 20-6 Game 2 win. Freshman Izzy Bonacci (Hamilton, NJ/Steinert) was 4 for 4 with 3 RBIs and 4 runs and freshman Emily Wyzykowski (Westampton, NJ/Rancocas Valley) went 3 for 4 with 3 RBIs, 3 runs, a double and triple. Sophomore Maya Patel (Burlington, NJ/Burlington Township) was 3 for 5 with 3 runs and 2 RBIs and freshman Natalie Santiago (Ewing, NJ/Ewing HS) had a triple and 2 RBIs.
Freshman Ada Kaschl (Brussels, Belgium/European School of Brussels III) was 2 for 4 with 2 RBIs and 2 runs and freshmen Angelina Guida (Monroe, NJ/Monroe Twp.), Madison Jobes (Roebling, NJ/Florence Twp. Memorial) and Makenna Spak (Hamilton, NJ/Steinert) each added an RBI in the win. Freshman pitcher Jessica Adams (Levittown, PA/Harry S Truman) had five strikeouts in four innings in her seventh win of the season and sophomore Shea Krebs (Robbinsville, NJ/Robbinsville HS) had two strikeouts and allowed no hits or earned runs in one inning of relief work.
The Vikings next travel to Northampton CC (12-4) for a 3:30 doubleheader on Thursday, April 18th.
