West Windsor, NJ-Mercer softball (12-4) swept their doubleheader vs Raritan Valley (0-4) with a 17-0 Game 2 win in their doubleheader. Freshmen Kelci O’Dell (Wrightstown, NJ/Northern Burlington) and Natalie Santiago (Ewing, NJ/Ewing HS) each had 2 hits and 4 RBIs and sophomore Abby Bell (Hightstown, NJ/Hightstown HS) went 2 for 3 with 2 RBIs. Freshmen Madison Jobes (Roebling, NJ/Florence Twp. Memorial), Ada Kaschl (Brussels, Belgium/European School of Brussels III) and Emily Wyzykowski each had two hits and an RBI in the win.
Sophomore pitcher Shea Krebs (Robbinsville, NJ/Robbinsville HS) struck out four and allowed just one hit in three innings and freshman Jessica Adams (Levittown, PA/Harry S Truman) allowed no hits and struck out three in two innings of relief.
Sophomore Cierra Acevedo (Hamilton, NJ/Hamilton West) and freshman Makenna Spak (Hamilton, NJ/Steinert) each added an RBI in the win.
The Vikings next host Brookdale (0-2) in a 3:30 PM doubleheader on Thursday, March 28th.
