Myrtle Beach, SC-Mercer softball (5-1) bear Alpena CC (1-4) 8-0 in five innings. Freshman pitcher Izzy Bonacci (Hamilton, NJ/Steinert) had ten strikeouts in four innings in the win. Freshman Angelina Guida (Monroe, NJ/Monroe Township) went 2 for 3 with 2 RBIs and sophomore Maya Patel (Burlington, NJ/Burlington Township) was 2 for 3 with a double and RBI. Sophomore Abby Bell (Hightstown, NJ/Hightstown HS) and freshman Madison Jobes (Roebling, NJ/Florence Twp. Memorial) each added an RBI in the win.
The Vikings will face Surry CC and Florence-Darlington Tech on Sunday, March 17th.
