Myrtle Beach, SC-Mercer softball (4-1) beat Moraine Valley 14-0 in five innings. Freshman Kelci O’Dell (Wrightstown, NJ/Northern Burlington) went 3 for 4 with 4 RBIs and freshman Madison Jobes (Roebling, NJ/Florence Twp. Memorial) was 2 for 3 with a double and 3 RBIs.
Sophomore Abby Bell (Hightstown, NJ/Hightstown HS) went 2 for 3 with a double and RBI and freshman Emily Wyzykowski (Westampton, NJ/Rancocas Valley) had two hits in the win. Sophomores Cierra Acevedo (Hamilton, NJ/Hamilton West) and Maya Patel (Burlington, NJ/Burlington Township) each had an RBI in the win.
Freshman pitcher Jessica Adams (Levittown, PA/Harry S Truman) struck out five in five innings for her first collegiate win.
