West Windsor, NJ-Mercer softball won their season opener 8-0 vs Cecil College. Freshman Jozalyn Sheipe-Warthan went 2 for 3 with a home run and also struck out five in five innings for her first collegiate win. Freshman Stella Logan (Trenton, NJ/Allentown HS) was 2 for 3 with a double and RBI and sophomores Makenna Spak (Hamilton, NJ/Steinert), Angelina Guida (Monroe, NJ/Monroe Twp.) and Emily Wyzykowski (Westhampton, NJ/Rancocas Valley) each had an RBI in the win.
