West Windsor, NJ-Mercer women’s basketball moved to 16-6 on the season following an 85-75 overtime win vs Salem CC (11-11). Sophomore Jhava Wilson (Trenton, NJ/Trenton Central) led the Vikings with 18 points, ten rebounds and five steals and freshman Alexandra Garcia Galan (Barcelona, Spain) had 17 points, six assists and six rebounds. Freshman Zaakirah Edwards (Philadelphia, PA/Mastery Charter) had 16 points and five assists and sophomore Lia Sekhniashvili (Madrid, Spain / American School of Madrid) added eleven points, nine rebounds, three steals and three rebounds.
Freshman Jayla Jones (Mount Holly, NJ/Rancocas Valley) had eleven points and nine rebounds and sophomore Carla Cencerrero Gallego (Mataro, Spain/Institut Laia l'Arguero) added eight points, five rebounds and four steals in the win.
The Vikings next travel to Raritan Valley CC (14-10) for a 5:00 PM game on Tuesday, February 18th in a game with big playoff implications.
