West Windsor, NJ-Mercer men’s soccer (10-2-1) won their sixth game in a row, shutting out Howard CC (7-4-1) 6-0. Freshmen Phillip Owczarek (Landshut, Germany/Hans-Carossa Gymnasium) and Federico Spinola (Bareggio, Italy/Pershing County HS) each had a goal and an assist in the win. Sophomore Joao Delgado (Sao Paulo, Brazil/Dr. Alfredo Cardoso) and freshmen Nassim Carpio (Parma, Italy/Instituto San Tomasso D’Aquino), Adrian Franco (Madrid, Spain/Zola School) and Henrique Franza (Sao Leopoldo, Brazil/Colegio Siondal) each scored a goal in the win. Sophomores Francesco Quintavalla (Parma, Italy/Convitto Nazionale Maria Luigia) and Lesedi Hlabeli (Guateng, South Africa/Redford House Blue Hills) both had an assist in the win.
The Vikings next travel to Georgian Court University JV for a 4:00 PM game on Wednesday, October 9th.
