Branchburg, NJ-Mercer men’s basketball (12-13) kept their playoff hopes alive with a 100-98 win at Raritan Valley CC (16-13). Freshman Joell Idrovo (Hamilton, NJ/Solebury School) led the Vikings with 27 points and five rebounds and sophomore Jayson Love (Philaldelphia, PA/Academy at Palumbo) had 25 points and five rebounds. Freshman Brandon McCain (North Brunswick, NJ/North Brunswick HS) had nine points, seven assists and six rebounds and freshman Drew Parrish (New York, NY/Murray Bertraum) had eight points and five assists. Sophomore Joe Lemly (Hamilton, NJ/Nottingham) had seven points and six rebounds and freshman Qayyum Gray (Staten Island, NY / Port Richmond HS) added seven points in the big win.
The Vikings next host County College of Morris (12-14) at 6:00 PM on Thursday, February 20th. The Vikings must win to qualify for the Region 19 Playoffs.
