West Windsor, NJ-Mercer baseball got their sixth straight win beating Sussex County CC 12-2 in Game 2 of their doubleheader. Sophomore Donny Gallagher (Stockton, NJ/South Hunterdon) went 3 for 4 with two home runs and 2 RBIs and sophomore Owen Friddell (Delran, NJ/Delran HS) was 2 for 4 with a double and 3 RBIs. Sophomore Joey Socorro (West Deptford, NJ/West Deptford HS) went 3 for 5 with a triple and 3 RBIs and sophomore Jake Pope (Hamilton, NJ/Steinert) was 3 for 5 with an RBI. Sophomore Chase Muchowski (Florence, NJ/Florence Twp. Memorial) went 2 for 4 with a double and RBI and freshman Mike Amrhein (Langhorne, PA/Neshaminy) had a home run and RBI. Freshman Matt Juliano (Hamilton, NJ/Nottingham) had a double and RBI and freshman Shaniel Maldonado (Trenton, NJ/St. Benedict’s) struck out four in seven innings for the win.
