Hampton, VA-Mercer baseball (11-5) beat Bryant & Stratton (11-14) 6-5 in Game 1 of their doubleheader. Freshman Jordan Raba (Hamilton, NJ/Nottingham) went 3 for 3 with a double and two runs and sophomore Owen Friddell (Delran, NJ/Delran HS) was 3 for 4 with a triple and three runs. Freshman Ryan Leary (Ewing, NJ/Ewing HS) had a double and RBI and freshman Mike Amrhein (Langhorne, PA/Neshaminy) had a double and 2 RBIs. Sophomore Jake Pope (Hamilton, NJ/Steinert) and freshman Shaniel Maldonado (Trenton, NJ/St. Benedict’s) each had an RBI in the win.
