Myrtle Beach, SC-In their second game at the Ripken Experience, Mercer baseball beat Clark State 13-2 in five innings. Sophomore Jake Pope (Hamilton, NJ/Steinert) went 3 for 3 with 2 RBIs and two stolen bases. Sophomore Joey Socorro (West Deptford, NJ/West Deptford) was 2 for 4 with a double and 3 RBIs and freshman Shaniel Maldonado (Trenton, NJ/St. Benedict’s Prep) had a double and RBI. Sophomore Owen Friddell (Delran, NJ/Delran HS) and freshman Alex Bischoff (Hamilton, NJ/Allentown HS) each added an RBI in the win. Sophomore pitcher Connor Parsons (Burlington, NJ/Burlington Twp.) struck out three in one inning in the win.
