West Windsor, NJ-Mercer baseball (16-10) lost to RCSJ-Gloucester (20-4) 4-12 in nine innings. RCSJ-Gloucester is currently the top ranked team in NJCAA Division III Baseball. The Vikings got within one run in the fifth 4-5 before the Roadrunners offense scored six runs over the next two innings.

Sophomore Joe Gmitter (Hamilton, NJ/Steinert) had a big day at the plate going 3 for 4 with 4 RBIs and 2 runs. Sophomore pitcher Dyllon King (Old Saybrook, CT/Cheshire Academy) struck out three in five innings to earn his second win of the season. Sophomore reliever Ryan Conover (Hamilton, NJ/Notre Dame) earned his second save of the season. Sophomore Torin McKenzie (Hamilton, NJ/Nottingham) went 2 for 3 in the win.
Mercer baseball moved to 6-0 on the 2024 season following an 11-6 Game 2 win in a doubleheader vs Rockland CC (0-4). The Vikings held on for the win after going up 8-2 in the bottom of the second. Freshman Shane Hickey (Jackson, NJ/Jackson Liberty) had a grand slam and 4 RBIs to lead the Vikings. Sophomore Torin McKenzie (Hamilton, NJ/Nottingham) went 3 for 4 with 3 runs and an RBI and sophomore Joe Gmitter (Hamilton, NJ/Steinert) was 2 for 3 with 2 runs and an RBI.

Sophomore pitcher Joe Dimino (Millstone, NJ/Allentown HS) struck out four in 3.2 innings pitched for his first win of the season and sophomore pitcher Ryan Mignogna (Ewing, NJ/Notre Dame) struck out four in 2.1 innings of relief work.
The Vikings were held to just two hits in the game with freshman Shane Hickey (Jackson, NJ/Jackson Liberty) providing the only Mercer RBI of the game. Sophomore closer Ryan Conover (Hamilton, NJ/Notre Dame) picked up his first save of the season in the win.
