MCCC Soccer Recognition Night to Be Held at Dec 10th Basketball Games

 

 

On Tuesday, December 10^th, MCCC will be hosting Soccer Recognition Night at Mercer Women’s and Men’s Basketball games.  The Vikings will be facing Lackawanna, with the women playing at 5:00 PM and men at 7:00 PM.  The recognition of the achievement of Mercer men’s and women’s soccer teams will take place at halftime of the women’s game.

 

Both men’s and women’s soccer were Region 19 Champions this fall.  MCCC Men’s Soccer were Northeast District Champions and advanced to the NJCAA Division II National Tournament in Huntsville, Alabama. Vikings’ men’s soccer were one win away from advancing to the Final Four of the National Tournament.

 

In addition to the success of both teams, many individual players on each team earned awards.  Women’s soccer had four players earn First Team All-Region 19 honors and men’s soccer had three players earn 1^st Team All-Region 19 honors.  Men’s and women’s soccer also had the Region 19 Coaches of the Year.
